Croatia and Italy battle for Group B supremacy

Defending champions Italy face Croatia in Leipzig on Monday with both sides looking to secure top spot in Group B.

Italy, who won the 2020 European Championship, are currently top of the group with four points from two games, while Croatia are second with three points. A win for either side would see them through to the knockout stages, while a draw would leave both teams needing to get a result in their final group game.

Italy have a number of injury concerns, with Marco Verratti and Federico Chiesa both ruled out of the tournament. However, they still have plenty of quality in their squad, with the likes of Jorginho, Nicolo Barella and Ciro Immobile all available.

Croatia, meanwhile, will be looking to build on their impressive performance in their last game, a 1-0 win over Austria. They have a number of experienced players in their squad, including Luka Modric, Ivan Perisic and Dejan Lovren.
